WRM-Media takes privacy very seriously, and this page details exactly how the data collected by WRM-Media is handled and stored.

Our data is collected from our array of sites, all of which can be found at http://wrm-media.com/our_sites.php. All data is collected and processed in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.

All of our marketing material has clear unsubscribe links on the top and bottom of the email to make it as easy as possible for recipients to opt-out of receiving them should they so wish.

  1. The Data we process

    1. 'Cookies'

      1. We do not permit cookies from any third parties on the site nor do we pass on data from or derived from cookies to third parties except as provided in our privacy policy.

        The cookies only contain a reference and no personal data is ever passed to the merchants.

    2. 'Web-bugs'

      1. These are very small invisible images with unique identifying information specific to a particular user. We do not currently use Web-bugs though we may do so in future if this proves useful.

      1. We gather data on visitors to our sites, all of which can be found at http://wrm-media.com/our_sites.php and process it for statistical reasons. We do this in order to provide an efficient service which is reliable and helpful to use for all users.

      3. We collect members names, email address, postal address, telephone number, preferences and interests.

        Technical support is available from the WRM-Media team. Details emailed to our support department are disclosed only to other WRM-Media support employees.

    1. We will disclose member information to third parties in the following circumstances;

      1. Where we are permitted to do so by our privacy policy.

      2. Where there is a breach of the terms and conditions of the site, it may be necessary to disclose information to third parties to prevent, rectify or remedy such breach.

      3. We retain member’s data after use of who-remembers-me.com has been terminated to enable us to improve our service and in case members choose to rejoin.

  5. WRM-Media operates a best practice mail policy whereby the mail we send conforms to the rules, regulations and laws of the receiving party's country. We do not engage in or condone the activity of unsolicited mailing practices (Spam) and indeed strongly oppose this type of activity. Anyone that should have a complaint regarding the mail received from WRM-Media should send their complaint to the following address: (abuse@wrm-media.com). We will endeavour to answer all complaints within a 24 hour period.

  6. Member rights in relation to data

    1. Data access and rectification

      1. Members of any of our data collection websites have the right to a copy of the personal information we store on them and we will rectify any inaccuracies we are informed of. (In accordance with the Data Protection Act we charge £10 for information requests.) Please address requests to the Data Protection Officer: postmaster@wrm-media.com

    2. Purpose of data collection and use

      1. Members are entitled to know the information we collect, its purpose and the manner and extent of processing. This we have outlined above.

      2. Members are further entitled to know, and we confirm above, that we collect only such information as is necessary and not excessive to the purposes of the websites.

    3. We collect no sensitive personal information within the meaning of Data Protection Act 1998.

    4. We do not transfer data to jurisdictions with inadequate personal privacy laws. Data will not be transferred to the United States unless it is to bodies that have adequate personal privacy provisions that accord with the Safe Harbour agreements between the US and the EU.
